Tim & Todd Nyquist

Basketball, Class of 2008

Tim and Todd Nyquist are remembered as two of the greatest basketball players in Youngsville High School history. From 1988 to 1992, the twin brothers led the Eagles to a District 10 Championship in 1992 and a top-eight finish in the state. Both became varsity starters as freshmen and combined for 2,180 career points and 647 steals, earning recognition for their speed, defensive skills, and teamwork.

Tim finished his high school career with 1,083 points, 407 rebounds, 467 assists, and 349 steals, earning League Most Valuable Player honors as a senior. Todd scored 1,097 points, grabbed 389 rebounds, and recorded 416 assists and 298 steals. Their accomplishments earned them a permanent place in Youngsville basketball history, with their No. 23 and No. 25 jerseys retired as the only numbers retired by the school.

Although basketball was their primary passion, both brothers also excelled in baseball, football, track and field, and cross-country. They continued their basketball careers at Clarion University, where Todd played three full seasons and Tim played one full season before a hip injury ended his collegiate career. Their legacy remains defined by their outstanding achievements, defensive dominance, and lasting impact on Youngsville athletics.
