Steve Massa Sr.

Baseball, Class of 2003

Steve Massa was known as a Baseball standout in the Warren area. As a player in the 1930’s, Steve caught for some great pitchers such as Dizzy Hines, Art Johnson, Freddie Gagliardi and Pike Peterson. “On a dare,” Steve once caught a double-header seated in a rocking chair. Playing semi-pro baseball, he promoted, coached and organized youth baseball in Warren.
